$24.00 Employees being promoted to a higher classified position receive the minimum for the position or a pay rate adjustment of 8% whichever is greater. All regular positions also entitle the employee to several benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement which is largely paid by New Mexico Tech for the employee and dependents.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    New Mexico Tech is seeking a Field Technician to support the Methane Emission Reduction Program (MERP). This role will assist with field operations, operator outreach, community engagement, and methane emissions measurement activities associated with well plugging projects across New Mexico.
    JOB FUNCTIONS
    Detect and quantify methane leakages on oil/gas wells and production facilities. Serving as a bridge between NMT and operators Community engagement Support data collection efforts Compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    High School (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, composition and math.
    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's Degree. Minimum 5 Years of oil and gas field experience; basic knowledge of field operations of environmental monitoring required. Well Plugged Experience preferred.
