Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Controls Field Technician to join our team. This role offers the chance to support diverse commercial and multifamily projects across the New York City metro area, specifically for those with a background in HVAC controls, Building Automation Systems (BAS), or commercial control environments. Core Responsibilities Handle the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Building Automation Systems (BAS) Identify and resolve issues within HVAC control systems and automation hardware Replace and install essential components such as sensors, relays, valves, transformers, and controllers Execute both high and low voltage control wiring tasks Help ensure optimal system functionality by diagnosing and repairing field-based technical problems Improve overall system efficiency through rigorous testing and optimization Maintain clear project records and provide consistent updates to both internal staff and clients Support high-quality service delivery while overseeing operations across various job sites Required Qualifications Possession of a High School Diploma or GED At least 2 years of professional experience working with HVAC controls and Building Automation Systems (BAS) Proficiency in control wiring and low voltage systems Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems Current and valid driver's license Physical capability to lift 50 lbs and utilize ladders or lifts as required Preferred Experience Familiarity with various communication protocols and BAS platforms Knowledge of TCP/IP networking Experience working with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Competency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook Proven ability to provide excellent service and communicate effectively with others
