Nemak is a leading provider of innovative lightweighting solutions for the global automotive industry, specializing in the development and manufacturing of aluminum components for e-mobility, structure & chassis, and ICE powertrain applications. We are currently hiring a Controls Technician at the Dickson, TN location.

Shift is as follows:

TBD Controls Technician Primary Responsibilities:

Administers first aid to employees and conduct accident/incident investigations, sharing relevant information regarding employee welfare. Support maintenance technicians with troubleshooting control systems. Troubleshoot PLC programs and new program creation for upgrades to existing control systems. Troubleshoot vision, scanner systems, and new program/project creation. Troubleshooting HMI systems and new program/project creation. Troubleshoot robot programming and new program creation. Maintain robot electrical and mechanical systems. Create and maintain ACDA machine electrical drawings. Supervise maintenance technicians during special projects. Respond to all emergency and safety calls promptly. Follow and ensure compliance with all safety regulation. Maintain 5S standards and keep the work area clean at all times Assist engineering in machinery installation and control system trouble shooting.

Preferred Knowledge and Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings Strong knowledge of PLC systems, programming, and troubleshooting Knowledge of industrial electrical and controls systems Ability to troubleshoot HMI, vision, scanner, and robotic systems Knowledge of machine safety systems and requirements Strong computer skills and ability to work with control system software Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Requirements/Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, plus specialized course work Minimum one year of experience as a high level Maintenance Technician or equivalent industrial controls experience Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and control systems Availability for short-notice overtime, including weekends Be available for 24/7 on-call support as required
