Our team of skilled technicians works daily with industry-leading platforms — including Tridium Niagara and Distech Controls — to deliver smart, efficient buildings for our clients. Our strategic business partners include the world's top suppliers in the BAS industry. Job Responsibilities Provide technical support for BAS networks and connected systems across commercial and institutional facilities. Troubleshoot and resolve Tridium Niagara and Distech system issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Install, configure, and maintain BAS software and hardware components, including Distech ECY and ECB controllers. Monitor BAS performance metrics and minimize downtime to maximize building efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with the IT team to implement Tridium Niagara N4 upgrades, patches, and system enhancements. Diagnose and resolve networking issues — including connectivity, IP configuration, and integration challenges — within Distech and Tridium environments. Utilize industry certifications and technical expertise to support BAS installations from commissioning through closeout. Work on-site throughout Tucson and the surrounding areas, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of BAS across multiple sites.
Required Skills & Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of hands-on experience in controls and BAS. 2+ years of experience with Distech Controls and Honeywell platforms. 2+ years of experience with Tridium Niagara framework and related tools. Strong understanding of computer operating systems, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to configure and debug computer and networking issues within BAS environments. Experience programming and troubleshooting electrical and electronic circuits common to BAS installations. Familiarity with AC power circuitry (120V and above). Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in HVAC, electronics, or building automation. Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. 4+ years of experience in controls and BAS. 4+ years of experience with Distech Controls and Honeywell. 4+ years of experience with Tridium Niagara, including advanced programming and system architecture. Deep expertise in HVAC operations, controls, and BAS integration. Strong understanding of DDC systems and special systems for advanced BAS roles. Tridium Niagara N4 Certification preferred. Distech Controls certification a strong plus.
Essential Job Functions:
Lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, and BAS hardware materials. Lift up to 50 lbs. Stand and walk for extended periods on active construction sites. Climb multiple flights of stairs or ladders daily. Maintain a satisfactory driving record per company vehicle policy. Kneel, stoop, and crawl as required during BAS equipment installation. Maintain clear visual acuity and accurate color vision for wiring and controller work. Work in outdoor desert conditions, mechanical rooms, and extreme heat. Exposure to live voltage, heavy machinery, airborne particles, and electrical hazards.
Compensation:
$90,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience.
