Controls SME:
The Controls Subject Matter Expert is the foremost technical leader on control systems for their site. Subject Matter Experts serve as mentors to Critical Facility Engineers (CFE) in the field and the classroom. This is a hands-on role for a seasoned professional who is eager to share their knowledge. The ideal candidate for this role is dedicated to lifelong learning, takes ownership of their work, and exemplifies integrity in all that they do.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Optimize the reliability and performance of the control systems (BMS, EPMS, PLC, and telemetry) within our data centers.

Enhance the teams ability to operate, maintain, and repair control systems.

Oversee the preparation, execution, and quality control for all work on control systems.

Develop and maintain operating procedures (SOP/MOP/EOP).Lead the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for control system events, faults, and issues.

Manage the vendor relationships which provide support for our control systems.

Train CFEs on control system fundamentals during their initial qualification process.

Deliver formal classroom training on control systems to the Data Center Operations team.

Drive standardization initiatives to include device configurations, BMS/EPMS/PLC programming, setpoints, alarms, and hardware selection.

Foster a collaborative team culture built on mutual respect and a shared mission to be the best data center operators in our industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
8 years of experience in a control system role in a mission critical environment.

A relevant ABET-accredited bachelors degree in engineering or engineering technology may be substituted for up to 4 years of experience.

Comprehensive experience performing control system operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.

Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and fire suppression/alarm systems associated with mission critical environments.

Basic familiarity with at least one computer programming language.

Experience working in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

ABET-accredited bachelors degree in engineering or engineering technologyBMS, BAS, EPMS, and PLC certifications issued by the OEMCompTIA Network+ certificationISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)BICSI certifications (various)Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA) or Certified Mission Critical Operator (CMCO)Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus communications protocolFamiliarity with the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) modelBackground in the data center industry
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.

Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipmentAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environmentsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasksBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quicklyAbility to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure The base salary range for this role is $59.23 hourly. This range reflects a goodfaith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. Final compensation will be determined by jobrelated factors consistent with applicable law. Monday - Friday | 8:00am-4:00pm
