Job Description

CPME USA LLC
is looking for a full-time Onsite Automation & Controls Technician to support automation projects at industrial and municipal customer facilities. This is a hands-on position requiring regular travel and the ability to independently troubleshoot, program, install, test, and commission control systems onsite. This is not a remote position. Travel is a required part of the job, and weekend work may be necessary depending on project schedules and customer needs. Key Responsibilities Travel to customer facilities for installation, troubleshooting, programming, testing, startup, and commissioning Independently troubleshoot and program PLC and HMI systems Perform control-panel modifications, field wiring, and electrical troubleshooting Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and control-system documentation Troubleshoot industrial equipment, instrumentation, sensors, motors, VFDs, and communication networks Diagnose control-system and equipment issues and implement appropriate solutions onsite Verify equipment operation and confirm that completed work meets project requirements Coordinate with CPME engineers, project managers, customers, and plant personnel Provide clear updates regarding onsite findings, completed work, and remaining action items Complete daily timesheets, service reports, expense reports, and project documentation Follow CPME and customer safety requirements at all times Qualifications Previous experience in industrial automation, electrical controls, instrumentation, or a related field Experience independently programming and troubleshooting PLC and HMI systems Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs Ability to perform control-panel modifications and field wiring Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics Familiarity with VFDs, industrial instrumentation, and communication networks Comfortable working independently at customer facilities Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness and ability to travel regularly Availability to work weekends when required by the project schedule Legally authorized to work in the
