Job Description

  • 7am•3:30pm, Mon•Fri Position Overview The Controls Technician assembles, maintains, and upgrades various pieces of process equipment.
The Controls Technician will be responsible for completing forms and documenting completed work. Essential Job Functions Understand basic power distribution. Understand PLC based automation. Understand basic pneumatics. Understand basic hydraulics. Install enclosures, conduits, and raceways. Install sensors, controls, and HMI. Perform calibrations of production equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot controls for compressed air, boilers, and HVAC. Maintain security/access control systems. Direct subcontractors relating to power distribution, building controls, and security/access control systems. Follow CPI cGMP and CPI safety practices, policies, and procedures. Employees at CPI work with and/or are familiar with the GMP requirements for Food, Dietary Supplements, Pharmaceuticals, or other elements of each. Depending on the position, the employee will be aware of Halal and/or Kosher requirements. Other duties as assigned. Education/Skills/Knowledge Required High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). A basic understanding of the purpose and contents within the Safety Data Sheets (SDSs). Knowledge of various types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and how/when to use it. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language at a level necessary for efficicent performance. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, co-workers, and/or clients.
