Job Description

Controls Technician ~ South Charleston, WV ~
Openings:
2nd Shift & 3rd Shift We are looking for two Controls Technicians to join a manufacturing team in South Charleston, WV. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in manufacturing, automation, controls and troubleshooting who enjoys being hands-on and solving problems. In this role, you'll support process controls and engineering initiatives while working closely with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment performance, troubleshoot issues and support new processes and product launches.
What You'll Be Doing:
Support process controls and engineering initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment Assist maintenance teams with major equipment faults and help identify recurring downtime issues Support engineering changes and the implementation of new processes Work with automation, robotics, sensors, device interfaces and control systems Assist with process flow charts, setup sheets, work instructions and line layouts Support equipment capacity studies and new product launches Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen activities Work closely with quality and operations teams to improve processes and support production metrics Stay current on technology and trends related to automation and manufacturing operations
What We're Looking For:
Associate degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience At least 2 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment or 4+ years in a non-automotive manufacturing setting Experience with AutoCAD Working knowledge of electronics, robotics and automation including sensors, device interfaces and controls Understanding of Lean principles, APQP, PFMEA, control plans and capacity studies Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable being hands-on and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds If you have a strong technical background in manufacturing and enjoy working with controls, automation and process improvement, we'd love to connect!
Pay Details:
