Description Dental Ceramist Job Overview The Dental Ceramist will use your expert knowledge of dental materials and techniques to create custom dental appliances and restorations for our patients. Requirements Dental Ceramist Qualifications Must possess a high level of technical skill and manual dexterity Ability to read and interpret dental prescriptions Ability to accurately fabricate and repair crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, and other dental prostheses Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology Familiarity with dental laboratory equipment and materials Ability to work independently and take direction Excellent communication and organizational skills Detail-oriented with an eye for aesthetics and quality Ability to lift, move, and manipulate up to 30 pounds Dental Ceramist Duties and Responsibilities Design and fabricate custom dental prosthetics, such as crowns, bridges, and veneers Create wax molds and patterns for dental prosthetics Examine tooth impressions and develop treatment plans in consultation with dentists Select and mix dental materials such as porcelain and acrylic to make prosthetics Cut, shape, and adjust prosthetics to fit patient's teeth and bite Ensure finished dental prosthetics are of the highest quality and meet patient's needs Clean and maintain dental laboratory equipment Keep detailed records of dental prosthetics made and treatments provided Maintain a safe and clean working environment Other responsibilities as assigned Dental Ceramist Education Bachelor's degree in dentistry or related field preferred Dental Ceramist Experience At least 5 years of dental ceramist experience in a laboratory setting Benefits Dental Views offers Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and paid time off, etc.
