This opportunity is intended for highly skilled quartz craftsmen capable of independently fabricating complex assemblies, mentoring apprentices, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. About DGW DGW specializes in the design and fabrication of high-purity fused quartz products used throughout the semiconductor, aerospace, research, and advanced technology industries. Responsibilities Independently fabricate complex quartz components and assemblies from engineering drawings Perform precision sealing, forming, bending, and assembly operations Manufacture custom semiconductor processware and scientific equipment Inspect work for dimensional accuracy and workmanship Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and improve processes Train and mentor apprentices and developing fabricators Collaborate with engineering and production teams Maintain high quality and productivity standards Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of quartz fabrication or scientific glassblowing experience Master-level proficiency in fused quartz fabrication Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications Experience with semiconductor, laboratory, optical, or aerospace components Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Leadership and mentoring experience Compensation & Benefits Highly competitive compensation based on experience and skill level Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates Paid holidays and paid time off Overtime opportunities Long-term stable employment Leadership role in apprenticeship training and development Unique Opportunity Help shape the future of quartz fabrication by mentoring the next generation of craftsmen while continuing to work on complex, high-value projects supporting the semiconductor industry.
