Picture Framing Trainee / Woodworking Assistant Artful Printers Miami, FL Job Details Full-time $17 - $20 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Fabrication Attention to detail Ability to follow instructions Construction experience Full Job Description Picture Framing Trainee / Woodworking Assistant Artful Printers is looking for a dependable, hands-on individual with carpentry, woodworking, cabinetmaking, or similar fabrication experience. We are willing to teach the right person the professional picture-framing process. This is a physical, hands-on production position—not a graphic-design position. Applicants should be comfortable working with wood, hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and detailed assembly.
Responsibilities:
Learn how to cut and assemble custom picture frames Measure materials accurately and make precise cuts Cut moulding and join frame corners Work with matboard, acrylic, glass, backing, and mounting materials Install artwork carefully into finished frames Inspect completed work for accuracy, cleanliness, and quality Maintain an organized and safe work area Assist with other print-shop and production tasks when needed Ideal qualifications: Previous carpentry, woodworking, cabinetmaking, construction, or fabrication experience Good manual dexterity and attention to detail Ability to measure accurately and follow instructions Comfortable using hand tools and power tools safely Patient and willing to learn a specialized craft Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Takes pride in producing clean, professional-quality work Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift and handle large frames and materials Professional picture-framing experience is helpful but not required. We are prepared to train someone who has strong hands-on abilities, a good work ethic, and genuine interest in learning the trade.
Important:
This position is not for a graphic designer or someone seeking computer-based design work. It is a hands-on woodworking, fabrication, and picture-framing position. Pay:
