Paint & Finish Wage:

$22.00 per hour

Shift:

2nd, 3rd

Hours:

2:10pm-10:40pm; 10:20pm-6:20am QPS Employment Group has a great Paint & Finish position available at a company in Fort Madison, IA. This is a 2nd and 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire. Paint & Finish Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform surface preparation and finishing processes on wind turbine blades.
  • Inspect blades for imperfections, defects, and surface inconsistencies.
  • Repair blemishes and surface damage to meet quality specifications.
  • Apply coatings, sealants, and paint materials according to work instructions.
  • Sand, smooth, and prepare blade surfaces for final finishing.
  • Utilize hand tools and other equipment to complete repairs and finishing tasks.
  • Read and follow work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet manufacturing goals.
Paint & Finish Requirements:
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, automotive repair, finishing, painting, or related fields is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and techniques.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
  • Comfortable working with hands-on tools and materials for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed throughout the production process.
