Frame Fitter for Fine Art Frame Shop Adjective Art & Framing is a full-service fine art frame shop and manufacturer of custom-made contemporary hardwood frames for artists, collectors, galleries, and museums. AA&F maintains a culture of high quality and efficiency through the principles of lean manufacturing, the latest technology, and encouraging employees to always be on the lookout for ways to improve our space and process. Adjective Art & Framing is looking for a dedicated, hard-working person to join our team as a Frame Fitter. Responsibilities:
Art handling/packaging Mounting fine art to substrates Fitting fine art into custom frames Cutting materials to size (mat board, cardboard, gatorboard, coroplast, glass, acrylic) Daily 3S cleaning/organizing Utilize kanban system for relaying ordering needs Maintain standardized workspaces
Qualifications:
4 years Fine Art Framing and Fitting experience in a professional setting Experience and understanding of a variety of mounting processes and materials including, but not limited to, Dry mounting, Hinging, Photo Corners, and Canvas Stretching Confident with hand-held tools, both powered and manual Comfortable with accurate measurements and working with fractions Comfortable using computers/technology to assist work Experience cutting mat windows, by hand or with a CMC Excellent time management skills Excellent communication skills Excellent organizational skills Self motivated, self directed Ability to move, transport, and position items weighing up to 50lbs Benefits include: Employer sponsored health care after 60 Days Simple IRA contributions after 1 year Paid time off and sick days
