Wire EDM Operator(s) are responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Wire EDM equipment to produce precision tooling components. Works closely with Mold Makers to develop effective fixturing and machining approaches while ensuring dimensional accuracy, equipment performance, and safe work practices.

What you will do:

Set-up/operate Wire EDM equipment. Program Wire EDM machine controls. Program with off-ling CAM software. Design and discuss with mold makers, insert bars and fixturing for machine effectiveness. Check & measure work performed. Monitor equipment maintenance. Safety and housekeeping. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge & Skills Blueprint reading. CAD/CAM software and programming. Mechanical aptitude. Set-up and operate Wire EDM. Tool building materials (steels, graphite, Al, Cu, etc.). Tool room equipment and machining processes. Self-motivated. Use of hand-held measurement tools. High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality work. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively. Education and Experience Requirements Highschool diploma or equivalent. Experience operating Wire EDM equipment
