In this role, you will be responsible for ordering materials, crafting high-quality custom frames that enhance and protect artwork, photographs, and memorabilia. Your expertise in carpentry, fabrication, and finishing techniques will ensure each piece meets precise specifications and exceeds customer expectations. Duties Measure and interpret client specifications, artwork dimensions, and framing requirements Select appropriate materials such as wood, metal, glass, matting, and backing for custom framing projects Cut, assemble, and finish frames using hand tools and power tools with precision and attention to detail Install artwork securely within frames, ensuring proper alignment and presentation Perform finishing tasks including caulking, glazing, sealing, and surface polishing to achieve a professional look Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards for heavy lifting and tool operation Skills Extensive experience with carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, woodworking, and metal stud framing Skilled in the use of hand tools Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky materials Detail oriented Ability to work in a fast paced environment and switch tasks to meet deadlines as needed This role is perfect for someone passionate about craftsmanship who enjoys working on custom projects that require precision and artistic flair.
