Job Overview Very well established shop seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Picture Framer to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality, custom picture frames that meet clients' specifications and enhance their artwork, photographs, or memorabilia. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine craftsmanship with artistic expression. The ideal candidate will be energetic, precise, and passionate about creating visually stunning framed pieces that stand the test of time. Responsibilities Measure and interpret clients' framing requirements based on artwork dimensions and style preferences Select appropriate materials such as wood, metal, or composite framing components, ensuring quality and durability Cut, assemble, and finish custom frames using hand tools and power tools for woodworking with precision and safety in mind Install backing materials, glazing (glass or acrylic), mats, and other decorative elements to complete the framing process Ensure all frames meet industry standards for craftsmanship and safety while adhering to technical specifications outlined in construction plans or technical drawings Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following power tool safety protocols during fabrication and assembly Experience Proven experience in custom picture framing or related artistic ability Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels) and power tools for woodworking (e.g., drills, sanders) with a focus on safety.
