Bring Your Industry Knowledge Into the Training Lab A career in the skilled trades builds knowledge that can't be learned from a textbook alone. Butler Tech is looking for experienced manufacturing professionals who are interested in putting that knowledge to work helping adults develop new technical skills and prepare for careers in industry. As a part-time Industrial Trades Instructor, you'll provide practical classroom and hands-on training in one or more of the following areas: welding, CNC/machining, or electro-mechanical/mechatronics. You don't need previous teaching experience. If you know your trade and enjoy helping others learn, we'll provide instructional support and assist you with obtaining the appropriate Ohio Adult Education teaching permit. The Role Depending on your area of expertise, you'll help adult learners develop both technical knowledge and practical skills.

Responsibilities may include:

Leading hands-on lab and shop activities Demonstrating tools, equipment, processes, and techniques Explaining the technical concepts behind the work Connecting instruction to real situations encountered in manufacturing Coaching students as they develop their skills and confidence Providing feedback on student progress Reinforcing workplace safety, quality, and professional expectations Helping students prepare to enter or advance within the manufacturing workforce We're Seeking Experience in One or More of These Areas Welding

SMAW GMAW/MIG GTAW/TIG FCAW

Fabrication practices AWS standards and welding safety CNC Machining / Precision Manufacturing CNC setup and programming Milling and turning Blueprint reading Precision measurement CAD/CAM or NIMS experience is a plus Electro-Mechanical / Mechatronics PLC programming and troubleshooting AC/DC motors and industrial controls Fluid power Automation and industrial systems NEC or NCCER credentials are a plus What You'll Need At least five years of experience in a manufacturing-related trade OR an associate degree in a related technical field Strong knowledge within at least one of the technical areas listed above Ability to communicate technical information clearly Interest in coaching and supporting adult learners Dependable work history and professional conduct Basic computer skills, including email and common workplace applications Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check Your Experience Can Become Someone Else's Starting Point You don't have to leave your trade experience behind to become an instructor. Pay:

$32.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 29.0 per week
