Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Braiding Technician to set up, operate, and troubleshoot specialized braiding equipment. In this role, you will work with ultra-fine materials—specifically 0.0007" thick Nitinol and stainless steel wires —to produce high-precision braided structures used in advanced medical devices.

Key Responsibilities Machine Operation:

Set up, calibrate, and run multi-carrier vertical or horizontal braiding machinery and spool-winding equipment.

Material Handling:

Carefully handle, load, and thread delicate micro-wires (such as 0.0007" Nitinol) and filaments through complex tension systems.

Quality Inspection:

Use digital microscopes, calipers, and micrometers to inspect braid pitch, angles, and outer diameters against specifications.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve machine or material issues, such as uneven tension, wire crossovers, or broken strands.

Documentation:

Maintain clean, accurate batch records and production logs in compliance with quality standards.

Requirements Experience:

0-3 years of experience in precision machine operation, wire winding, textile braiding, or high-dexterity micro-assembly. (Experience in medical device manufacturing or automotive wire-harnessing is a major plus). On job training and travel to be trained will be provided.

Technical Skills:

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work comfortably under a microscope or magnifying lens for extended periods.

Precision Focus:

Exceptional manual dexterity and patience required to handle fragile, microscopic components.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certifications preferred

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
