Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shop Hand to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be an essential part of our trailer repairs and new builds. Responsibilities Assist with trailer repairs and cleaning up shop examples but not limited to: - picking the boats up on lifts, bearing jobs, trailer lights, cutting/grinding, board replacement, axle and spring replacement etc you do not have to help customers, if a customer comes to you then you just politely redirect them to the office or shop foreman. Skills Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols Valid driver's license and social security card is a MUST Basic understanding of tools is a major plus mechanical background is a major plus reading a tape measure (reading a tape measure is not 10 inches and 6 lines) We do train you as we go, you will learn how to use all of our tools, how do to all kinds of different trailer repairs, and custom work on trailers. You will learn how to drive a tractor to move trailers with and to unload parts pallets. It is not a clean job. We get dirty daily from dirt, grease and oil. We work on boat trailers, lowboys, box trailers, car haulers, select semi repairs, goosenecks, 5th wheels, campers, misc Pay is weekly and direct deposit only.
