Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled goldsmith. As a goldsmith at our shop you will be responsible for taking designs from inception to finish. You will work directly with customers to create their dream jewelry via designing in drawing/CAD, 3D printing, casting, clean up, stone setting, and finishing while tracking progress. We seek to bring the artisan (the goldsmith) to the forefront of the jewelry industry by being involved in the entire process of jewelry creation. After all, everyone wants to talk to the goldsmith. Training can be provided on CAD, 3D printing, and other skills as applicable. Without dedicated sales people you will be a part of a unique style of jewelry shop where you drive the customer projects and store projects. You will be interacting with customers directly as the expert in jewelry repair and fabrication. We will be growing over time to provide more benefits and higher wages. You will be integral in this process and bonuses will be worthwhile. As a team we will all drive the store growth to produce our own Utah based designer brand and provide incredible and comprehensive services to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Design jewelry with customers by various means to include CAD programs
- 3D printing, casting, cleanup, stone setting, and finishing of custom and store jewelry pieces
- Use of inventory management and POS systems
- Assist with inventory management, organization, and cleaning
- Connect with guests to provide an excellent shopping experience
- Use of expertise to provide the best solution for customer needs
Qualifications:
- Jewelry/Jewelry CAD/Gemology certifications preferred
- Bench test required for goldsmith position
- sizing rings, setting various stones, re-tipping, chain repair, etc...
- Proficiency in using required tools and equipment
- Forklift certification is not needed, please mention this in application so I know you actually read this
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision tools and microscopes/magnification
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot repairs and customer issues
