Job Summary We are seeking an artistic, detail-oriented, and highly dependable Custom Framing studio Consultant to join our team at our premier showroom in Merrifield, VA. In this role, you will act as a design partner to our clients, helping them choose the perfect custom framing solutions to preserve and showcase their art, photos, and memorabilia. Beyond design consultations, you will play a critical role in store operations—managing orders, procuring materials, and overseeing customer pickups. As this position requires closing responsibilities, we are looking for a trustworthy professional who can operate independently and securely close down the studio at the end of each day.

Key Responsibilities Design & Client Consultation:

Greet showroom guests and provide expert recommendations on mats, moldings, glass types, and framing options that complement their unique artwork and aesthetic preferences.

Order Management & Logistics:

Accurately input customer specifications into our computer systems, manage order files, and place precise material orders with vendors to keep production timelines on track.

Customer Service & Support:

Provide dedicated tracking updates and support via phone and email. Manage the client pickup process, ensuring every customer leaves thrilled with their final product.

Showroom Operations:

Keep the showroom organized, clean, and inspiring. Studio Closing (Keyholder): Confidently manage the end-of-day closing procedures, including basic cash register reconciliation, securing computer systems, and locking up the facility safely. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, CRM systems, POS systems, and basic math skills for measurements and pricing calculations. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse clientele. Knowledge of interior design principles, lighting design, remodeling processes, and fixture sales enhances your effectiveness in this role. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, deal closing, upselling techniques, and customer relationship building to foster repeat business.
