Job Description
About Us Green Mountain Painters is a professional outfit, well known in the area, with over twenty years of service to the community. We have a paint shop, warehouse and office in Williston, and we take a lot of pride in having built up the knowhow, the people and the equipment it takes to complete some of the most premier projects for the best clients in the area. We operate year-round, serving Chittenden County and the surrounding towns. The Role This is a field position for an experienced painter who's ready to lead projects. You'll be the lead tradesperson on a team, responsible for planning the work, directing a mixed-skill crew, communicating with clients on site, and producing high-level finished work. Most days you'll be leading a crew of two to three on a single project. Some days you'll be working independently on special projects or providing high-skill support to another crew/jobsite. Responsibilities Perform all aspects of the painting trade at a high level of speed and quality Lead interior and exterior painting projects from setup through final walkthrough Utilize company systems to maintain open and clear lines of communication between Project Management, Field Teams and the Clients. Build and execute effective project plans and daily work plans according to established SOP Direct and support teammates of varying skill levels, keeping the crew organized and productive Manage production output to safely deliver on-spec, quality work that meets or beats budget Qualifications Several years of professional painting experience with full command of the trade Demonstrably strong production speed paired with consistent high finish quality The ability to plan and run a job site with minimal oversight The ability to independently learn and implement written SOP. Our processes and standards are documented in detail, and we'll count on you to study them, adapt your knowledge accordingly, and put them to work producing a "Green Mountain Painters" finished product. Professionalism around clients, coworkers and the public Compensation Base starting pay is $27.50 to $30.00 per hour , depending on your experience and demonstrated skillset. Additional performance pay of $4-$8 per hour is paid on top of your base wage for projects that meet or beat budget Raises to base pay are available quarterly, and are based on the results of performance review metrics Benefits Our benefits are practically unheard of in the trades: 100% of the premium on a single Health Insurance Plan paid by the company (that means $0 out of your paycheck for health insurance!) All tools provided by the company, plus $1,200 per year towards clothing, footwear, and misc. gear.
