Soldering Technician Location:
Gilbert, AZ Pay Rate:
$28.00 - $31.00/hour (W2)
Schedule:
9/80 Work Schedule (Onsite) Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Electrical Assembly / Soldering Technician to assemble, solder, and repair electronic assemblies used in high-reliability aerospace and defense products. The ideal candidate has strong soldering skills, can read assembly drawings, and is familiar with IPC standards. Responsibilities Perform through-hole and surface mount (SMT) soldering on circuit boards and electronic assemblies. Assemble electrical units, wire harnesses, and chassis using hand tools and precision instruments. Perform crimping, board-level repairs, and jumper wire installations. Read assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions. Follow ESD procedures and high-quality workmanship standards. Assist with troubleshooting, rework, and testing when needed. Maintain accurate documentation and a clean work area. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of electrical assembly and soldering experience. Experience with PCB assembly, wire harnesses, crimping, and electronic assembly. Knowledge of IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and/or
IPC/WHMA-A-620
standards. Ability to read engineering drawings and assembly documentation. Preferred Qualifications
NASA 8739
soldering certification. Experience with avionics or aerospace electronic assemblies. Experience with board-level repair and conformal coating. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Pay:
$28.00 - $31.00 per hour
