401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Vision insurance Application Question(s): Describe the most complex cable or wire harness assembly you have personally built from start to finish. Briefly identify the type of harness, approximate complexity (number/type of wires, connectors, terminals, or branches), your specific responsibilities, and the manufacturing environment in which it was produced? Describe how you use an engineering drawing, schematic, wiring diagram, wirelist, BOM, or detailed work instruction to build a cable or harness. Explain how you verify wire identification, wire gauge/type, connector locations, pin numbers, terminal requirements, routing, orientation, and assembly sequence before and during fabrication? Describe your hands-on experience with electrical crimping and termination. Include the types of terminals, contacts, connectors, and wire sizes you have worked with, the crimping tools/equipment you have used, and how you verify that a completed crimp meets the applicable technical and workmanship requirements? Walk us through your process for preparing and fabricating a complex wire harness—from wire identification and cutting/stripping through labeling, termination, connector assembly, routing, securing, branching, and final inspection. What specific controls do you use to prevent wiring errors, damaged insulation, incorrect routing, or incorrect terminations? Describe the most difficult wiring or harness discrepancy you have personally identified and corrected. Explain how you discovered the problem, how you traced it to the source, what test equipment or documentation you used, what corrective action you performed, and how you verified the final assembly was correct? Describe your hands-on experience performing electrical continuity, point-to-point, insulation, or wiring verification on completed cable/harness assemblies. Explain what equipment or test method you used, how you compared the results against the engineering requirements, and how you handled a failed test? Describe how you inspect a completed cable or harness before releasing it to the next production or inspection stage. What specific characteristics do you examine for wire preparation, crimps, terminals, connectors, routing, identification, workmanship, and overall assembly compliance? Imagine you are assigned a complex spacecraft cable harness with multiple connectors, different wire types and gauges, detailed routing requirements, and controlled engineering documentation. Briefly describe your complete approach from receiving the work package through final acceptance—including documentation review, material verification, wire preparation, crimping/termination, connector assembly, routing, ESD controls, in-process inspections, continuity/wiring verification, documentation, and final quality review. Identify the specific checkpoints you would use to prevent a workmanship or wiring error from reaching the next production stage? You are building a complex aerospace cable/wire harness and discover a potential mismatch between the drawing, wirelist, connector/pin configuration, or physical hardware. With production pressure to continue, how would you determine the correct requirement, protect the hardware, resolve and document the discrepancy, and verify the final harness is fully compliant?
