Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler for a direct hire opportunity in Hawthorne, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
) Excellent eye-hand coordination and dexterity for small parts assembly.
  • Ability to work with microscopes, tweezers, and test equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation.
  • Must be a U.
S. Person (includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees) (required).
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply thick-film printing techniques using screen printing equipment and conductive, non-conductive, and resistor pastes to produce ceramic substrates.
  • Operate high-temperature belt furnaces to fire pastes onto ceramic substrates.
  • Perform assembly operations under a microscope using soldering equipment and hand tools.
  • Use measurement equipment to ensure product requirements meet specifications.
  • Complete additional assembly tasks such as solder and epoxy die attach and hand-soldering leads to SSPCs.
  • Follow process layouts and procedures to determine assembly methods and sequences.
  • Identify and select components for integration into subassemblies and assemblies. Perform rework and other duties as assigned; provide feedback and maintain accuracy.
  • Use a computer to access job-related information, drawings, and specifications.
  • Apply company policies and safety standards while striving to build knowledge and skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(DESIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
) 1-2 years of related assembly experience or training.
  • Certified hand soldering skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting and continuous use of hands for handling small parts.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and maintain close vision for detailed work.

Accredited High School Diploma or
GED. WORK HOURS

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date. Candidates responding to this posting must currently possess the eligibility to work in the United States. No third parties please.
Pay:
$18.75 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
