This individual will contribute directly to the assembly of pressure calibrators, air data test systems, temperature calibrators, torque and force calibration systems, and other mission-critical instrumentation designed for demanding field and laboratory environments. As part of the Raptor Scientific Family, our team develops and supports precision calibration instruments used across the Aerospace and Defense industry. We are focused on customer needs and provide full-spectrum support including engineering, calibration, manufacturing, and repair operations. The full-time hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and every other Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Full benefits package available after 30 days.
RESPONSIBILITES
Assemble precision electronic, electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems used in calibration and test equipment. Perform point‑to‑point wiring, cable harness fabrication, connector installation, soldering, crimping, tubing routing, and component integration. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and bills of material. Perform continuity checks, functional testing, leak checks, and basic troubleshooting. Use soldering equipment, multimeters, and test instruments safely and effectively. Support prototype, engineering development, and high‑mix/low‑volume production builds. Maintain accurate manufacturing and quality documentation. Work closely with engineering, quality, and calibration personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required; technical trade school or vocational certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in electrical or electronic assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Hands‑on experience with soldering, cable harnessing, and connector assembly.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Plex or equivalent preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
OTHER SKILLS
IPC‑A‑610 and/or J‑STD‑001 certification. Experience in aerospace, defense, avionics, calibration, or instrumentation manufacturing. Prior experience assembling Raptor Scientific products or similar precision calibration/test equipment. Ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment. Ability to work independently and as a part of a small team.
Fluent with MS Office products:
Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Physical ability to lift or assist in lifting large items up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand for up to 4 hours a day and/or sit, type and use mouse for up to 6 hours a day.
