This is a hands-on position for someone who is highly skilled in large BGA rework, fine-pitch soldering, SMT rework, and board-level rework. The ideal candidate has recent experience performing component-level rework under a microscope and can independently handle complex assemblies, including BGAs, QFNs, DFNs, 0201/01005 components, and high-density PCBs. You will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards before delivery to customers. Responsibilities Remove and replace BGA, QFN, DFN, CSP, and fine-pitch components. Reball and reinstall large 60mm+ BGA components when required. Perform SMT and through-hole soldering to IPC standards. Perform PCB rework, modifications, ECO implementations, and repair operations. Work under a microscope to solder and inspect miniature components. Inspect assemblies for workmanship, solder quality, and defects. Read assembly drawings, schematics, work instructions, and rework documentation. Assist with failure analysis and troubleshooting of PCB assemblies. Maintain ESD-safe work practices. Ensure all work meets customer requirements and IPC workmanship standards. Support prototype builds and quick-turn engineering projects. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent hands-on PCB soldering and rework experience. Demonstrated experience with SMT rework under a microscope. Ability to solder and rework fine-pitch components with high precision. Experience using hot air stations, soldering irons, preheaters, and rework equipment. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Familiarity with ESD-controlled manufacturing environments. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of BGA rework experience. Experience operating BGA rework systems (PACE, ERSA, Finetech, Scotle, etc.).

IPC-A-610

Certification. Experience in prototype or NPI manufacturing environments. Experience working with aerospace, medical, military, automotive, or other high-reliability electronic products.
