In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and reworking surface mount technology (SMT) assemblies to ensure they meet the highest quality standards. Your expertise in electronics assembly, soldering, and electrical schematic reading will help us deliver reliable, top-quality products. Duties Inspect SMT assemblies for defects using magnification tools and visual inspection techniques Rework and repair PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assemblies by removing and replacing surface-mount components with hand tools and soldering equipment Follow blueprint specifications, electrical schematics, and IPC-610 standards to ensure proper assembly and rework procedures Use hand tools, power tools, soldering stations, and electro-mechanical components to perform precise repairs Read electrical schematics and blueprints to identify issues and determine appropriate rework steps Document all rework activities accurately in accordance with quality control protocols Requirements Proven experience with PCB assembly, surface mount technology, and electrical wiring techniques Strong knowledge of electrical schematic reading, and following schematic diagrams Skilled in soldering techniques including IPC 610 standards for electronic assembly Ability to use hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, ohmmeters, and power tools effectively Understanding of electro-mechanical components Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify defects quickly and accurately
