Job Summary

Wire Harness Assembler

Are you experienced in cable assembly, soldering, or wire harness manufacturing? Join a growing aerospace and defense manufacturing team as a Wire Harness Assembler and help build high-quality cable and harness assemblies used in critical applications. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy hands-on assembly work, reading blueprints, and working in a clean, organized production environment.

Position Summary

The Wire Harness Assembler is responsible for assembling, soldering, crimping, and testing wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to IPC standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing work instructions. This position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow technical documentation while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies for aerospace and defense applications

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and manufacturing instructions

Verify traveler documentation, part numbers, revisions, and quantities before beginning work

Inspect materials for defects, damage, and nonconformities

Cut, strip, de-jacket, and prepare cables according to specifications

Load connectors, install labels, heat shrink tubing, and ty-wraps

Perform soldering, crimping, wire termination, and electromechanical assembly tasks

Assemble harnesses on assembly boards using detailed work instructions

Operate stripping machines and utilize hand and mechanical tools safely

Follow IPC-620, Mil-Spec, and customer workmanship standards

Complete production documentation and sign travelers at each operation

Properly identify, package, and handle materials and finished products

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Support continuous improvement and workplace safety initiatives

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Previous experience in cable assembly, wire harness assembly, electronic assembly, or related manufacturing environments

Experience with soldering and crimping techniques

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions

Experience using hand tools and assembly equipment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to maintain accurate production records and documentation

Ability to follow established manufacturing procedures and safety requirements

Preferred Qualifications

IPC-620, IPC-610, or

J-STD-001

knowledge or certification

Aerospace, defense, or military manufacturing experience

Experience with electromechanical assembly processes

Knowledge of wire preparation, labeling, heat shrink installation, and connector assembly

Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Centennial, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
