ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL BUILDER / PUMP STATION ASSEMBLER

$24.00 / Hour (Commensurate with experience)

8-hour shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday (In-person)

ABOUT US
We manufacture a range of irrigation products from small electronic control boxes to irrigation pumps and pumping stations. Our products are known for quality and reliability, utilizing all-metal designs that help us stand out from the competition. We are looking for a full-time, hourly Electrical Control Panel Builder / Pump Station Assembler to help support our growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely completion of production runs while maintaining high quality standards. We utilize Lean Manufacturing practices and are focused on continuous quality improvements and a safe work environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical Assembly & Wiring Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Control Panel Assembly:
Assemble and wire electrical control panels for water pump stations according to precise design specifications.
Component Installation:
Install and wire components such as circuit breakers, relays, transformers, PLCs, and other electrical devices.
Circuit Integration:
Apply a strong understanding of AC, DC, and analog control circuits to ensure proper installation and wiring.
Panel Layout:
Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, and labeling for an organized and efficient panel layout.
External Wiring:
Perform point-to-point wiring for components external to the control panel, including motors, analog devices, and pilot devices, while following proper conduit and cable routing procedures.
Mechanical Assembly & Compliance Mechanical Build:
Assemble mechanical components of water pump stations, including pumps, piping, and enclosures.
Standards Adherence:
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry standards, UL 508A, NEC requirements, and
ISO 9001
quality management standards.
Shop Upkeep:
Maintain a clean and organized work area while strictly following workplace safety procedures.
Collaboration:
Work productively with the production manager, project managers, and engineers to complete projects on time.
Continuous Improvement:
Assist in process and lean improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Flexibility:
Assist in other production areas as requested by the Production Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must-Have Qualifications UL 508
A Standards:
Verifiable experience working with UL 508A panel building standards.
Industrial Automation:
Solid working knowledge of industrial automation systems.
ISO 9001
Compliance:
Clear understanding of
ISO 9001
quality management guidelines.
Certifications:
Forklift Certified.
Experience & Education Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years in electrical panel assembly, pump station assembly, or a closely related field.
Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Technical training in electrical or mechanical systems is highly preferred.
Blueprint Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Tool & Equipment Literacy:
Experience working safely with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
Physical & Cognitive Requirements Lifting Capacity:
Ability to lift up to 150 lbs repeatedly.
Stamina:
Ability to stand or sit for several hours at a time while performing work tasks, and walk around the facility unassisted.
Sensory Readiness:
Visual acuity corrected to perform precise technical job functions; ability to hear and respond to facility safety commands.
Communication & Cognition:
Ability to speak, read, and write in English fluently to communicate complex ideas with colleagues. Strong problem-solving, data interpretation, and organizational cognitive skills.
