Job Description

Electromechanical Assembler Lafayette, CO $23-$26/hour Monday-Thursday | 4x10s We're looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded person to join IONEX Research Corporation in Lafayette as an Electromechanical Assembler. This is a great opportunity for someone coming from a skilled trade, mechanical assembly, fabrication, HVAC, manufacturing, or industrial equipment background who enjoys building things and working with their hands. You do NOT need to have a traditional electrical background to be successful in this position. We're looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who can read drawings, use tools, follow detailed instructions, learn electrical components, and take pride in building a quality product. What you'll do: Assemble mechanical and electromechanical equipment Install and fit mechanical components and hardware Work with electrical components, wiring, connectors, and cables Read and follow blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions Use hand and power tools to assemble and modify components Measure, fit, align, fasten, and inspect parts Perform basic troubleshooting and rework Work with a variety of materials, components, and specialized equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work as part of a team while being capable of working independently What we're looking for: Hands-on experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, construction, fabrication, HVAC, electrical, or assembly environment Strong mechanical aptitude Comfortable using hand and power tools Ability to read and follow drawings or detailed instructions Good attention to detail Ability to measure and assemble components accurately Strong problem-solving skills Reliable work history and attendance Willingness to learn new equipment and processes Your background could include: HVAC or sheet metal Mechanical assembly Industrial or equipment installation Fabrication Manufacturing Electrical assembly Controls Machine building Plumbing or mechanical trades Maintenance Skilled construction Millwright or similar hands-on trade experience Why this job: $23-$26/hour depending on experience 4-day workweek Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts Full-time, long-term opportunity Hands-on work — not a repetitive production-line position Work with specialized equipment and components Great fit for someone who wants to use their mechanical skills in a manufacturing environment The right person is someone who can look at a drawing, figure out how something needs to go together, grab the right tools, and get the job done correctly.
