Job Description

Key Responsibilities Prepare PCB assemblies for conformal coating through cleaning, masking, and inspection. Apply conformal coating materials using selective coating equipment, spray systems, brush techniques, or manual dispensing methods. Perform coating touch-up, repair, and rework as needed. Inspect coated assemblies under UV/black light and magnification to verify proper coverage, thickness, and workmanship. Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610, IPC-CC-830, customer specifications, and internal quality standards. Operate and maintain conformal coating equipment and related tools safely and efficiently. Mix, handle, and store coating materials according to manufacturer and safety requirements. Complete production documentation, travelers, and quality records accurately. Identify defects or process issues and communicate findings to supervisors and quality personnel. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to coating quality, throughput, and process control. Follow all ESD, safety, and cleanliness procedures in a controlled manufacturing environment. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience in conformal coating, PCB assembly, or electronics manufacturing. Experience with selective conformal coating systems. Familiarity with IPC standards and electronic assembly workmanship requirements. Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and manufacturing documentation. Experience using microscopes, UV inspection lighting, and precision hand tools. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Preferred IPC-A-610 and/or
IPC-CC-830
certification. Knowledge of acrylic, silicone, urethane, and epoxy coating materials. Familiarity with SMT and through-hole PCB assembly processes. Experience in ISO-regulated or high-reliability manufacturing environments such as aerospace, medical, or industrial electronics. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally. Ability to work with chemicals and wear required PPE.
