Job Title:
Electrical Assembler Apply Now! Job Description In this role, you will be responsible for assembling parts using various techniques such as connectors, plugs, jacks, brazing, welding, and cementing. You will also perform necessary measuring and testing, including electrical testing and helium leak testing. Effective communication is essential as you will use all channels to share information accurately and quickly. You will also conduct in-process inspections using basic math, measuring tools, and quality specifications. Your role includes receiving, counting, and pulling parts to ensure all required parts are available, maintaining inventory accuracy, and completing proper documentation. Additionally, you will enter raw materials into the computer inventory system, verify current inventory, and manage cycle counts. Responsibilities Assemble parts using various techniques such as connectors, plugs, jacks, brazing, welding, and cementing. Perform measuring and testing, including electrical and helium leak testing. Communicate information accurately and quickly using all channels. Conduct in-process inspection using basic math, measuring tools, and quality specifications. Receive, count, and pull parts to ensure all required parts are available. Ensure inventory transaction accuracy and complete proper documentation. Enter raw material into the computer inventory system and verify current inventory. Design and build boxes and crates, and pack boxes with products. Sequence and organize product shipments following established processes. Maintain flexibility and cross-training knowledge for assignments in other departments. Focus on safety and quality in all tasks. Essential Skills Production experience Mechanical aptitude Use of hand tools Additional Skills & Qualifications High school education preferred Computer literacy for shop floor procedures Knowledge of measuring tools like scales and calipers Ability to read and understand prints, drawings, charts, and graphs Understanding of quality specifications Ability to perform electrical testing Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions Effective communication and teamwork skills Why Work Here? Work Environment Work the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm in a manufacturing facility that can become hot in the summer. You will have your own workbench in the assembly department with the option to sit or stand. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batavia, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
