Bench Technician Location:
Orange Park, FL 32073 (On-Site)
Pay Rate:
$30.00 - $34.00 per hour Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Bench Technician to join our growing electrical manufacturing team in Orange Park, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, testing, and installation of electrical cables and wire harnesses in accordance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong avionics/electrical experience, excellent blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Read, interpret, and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and harness boards. Fabricate and assemble electrical cables and wire harnesses to detailed specifications. Perform wire stripping, crimping, soldering, connector pin/socket installation, and shielded twisted-pair splicing. Secure and route wiring using cable ties, sleeving, conduit, and other approved methods. Conduct continuity, quality, and functional testing using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment. Complete assigned work orders accurately and in accordance with established procedures. Maintain compliance with tool control practices and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention guidelines. Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable industry specifications. Support off-site deliveries, installations, and modifications as needed. Required Qualifications Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring practices, and schematic interpretation. Experience with cable harness fabrication, crimping, and bench technician work. Proven avionics and wiring termination experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Minimum of 6-8 years of aircraft avionics and/or electrical experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of
NAVAIR 01-1A-505
standards. Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and
IPC-A-610
workmanship standards. Experience with MIL-SPEC, circular, and fiber-optic connector systems. Fiber-optic cable fabrication experience. Active or previous security clearance is a plus.
