Production About the Role We are seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable Hand Soldering Technician to join our Production team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and consistent performance. You will work hands‑on to assemble components, perform rework, and ensure all products meet strict quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Soldering & Rework Perform all levels of SMT and thru‑hole hand soldering in accordance with IPC standards. Rework bottom‑termination components including BGA, QFN, and similar package types using proper tools and thermal‑profile techniques. Form leads on various electronic components using hand tools and automated equipment. Work with both leaded and lead‑free solder materials. Interpret PCB assembly drawings, ECNs, and assembly instructions. Utilize soldering irons, de‑soldering equipment, hot‑air tools, and solder removal systems. Apply advanced understanding of PCB assembly processes and thru‑hole installation sequencing. Rework, repair, and modify printed circuit boards and assemblies to meet specifications. Maintain accurate and organized production records. Maintain consistent, on‑time attendance. Safety & Maintenance Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures at all times. Report safety issues to the Manufacturing Lead, Supervisor, Manager, or Safety Officer promptly. Report defects or repair needs to the supervisor. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Assembly & Production Read work orders, production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions. Position and align parts using fixtures or other holding devices. Perform mechanical assembly tasks such as crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, and riveting. Mount components (transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, ICs, sockets, etc.) onto printed circuit boards. Mount assembled components onto upper‑level assemblies. Install finished assemblies or subassemblies. Documentation & Workflow Maintain department‑specific records accurately and consistently. Work under close supervision from the Production Department Supervisor. Adhere to company attendance and punctuality standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and work instructions. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools and production equipment. Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment. Hands‑on experience with SMT and thru‑hole soldering. Demonstrated ability to rework BGA, QFN, and other bottom‑termination components. Strong familiarity with IPC standards (certifications a plus). Proficiency with soldering tools, rework stations, and PCB handling best practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled work hours.Similar remote jobs
