Aviation Assembler - NOW HIRING About the Role A top-tier aerospace and high‑reliability electronics manufacturer in Sarasota is seeking skilled Electronics Soldering Technicians capable of performing precise, high‑quality work on mission‑critical electronic assemblies. This position plays a key role in building advanced aviation, defense, and industrial systems that require exceptional craftsmanship and strict compliance to industry standards. Candidates must bring 4-5 years of hands‑on soldering experience and hold a current IPC‑A‑610 certification . Primary Responsibilities Execute precision soldering on both through‑hole and surface‑mount components. Assemble, inspect, and rework complex printed circuit board assemblies to IPC‑A‑610 Class 2 and Class 3 workmanship standards. Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, assembly instructions, and quality specifications. Perform detailed visual inspection of solder joints and component placement using microscopes and magnification tools. Handle ESD‑sensitive components using proper grounding and protective procedures. Conduct rework and repair on PCB assemblies using temperature‑controlled irons, hot‑air stations, and specialized rework tools. Document work performed, follow quality processes, and communicate non‑conformances or issues to QA or engineering. Maintain an organized, safe, and compliant workstation aligned with aerospace production standards. Required Qualifications 4-5 years of professional soldering experience in aerospace, avionics, defense, electronics manufacturing, or other high‑reliability sectors. Active IPC‑A‑610 certification (Class 2 or Class 3 strongly preferred). Strong proficiency with SMT and through‑hole soldering techniques. Comfort working under microscopes and performing fine‑pitch, precision rework. Solid understanding of PCB components, ESD control, and electronic assembly processes. Ability to accurately interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to workmanship quality. Preferred Skills Experience with IPC‑7711/7721 rework and repair standards. Experience in aerospace or defense electronics production environments. Ability to identify soldering issues, component defects, and other workmanship concerns independently. Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with engineering, QA, and production teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
