09/18/2026 Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Panel Assembly Technician is responsible for the mechanical assembly, layout verification, and preparation of industrial control panels and electrical enclosures in accordance with engineering drawings, Bills of Material (BOM), production requirements, and company quality standards. This position also provides operational support to other internal departments and assists with cross-functional manufacturing activities as required to meet production and shipment schedules. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical assembly of industrial control panels and electrical enclosures. Install DIN rails, wire duct, back panels, brackets, labels, mounting hardware, and other mechanical components. Mount electrical and control components in accordance with engineering drawings, panel layouts, and Bills of Material (BOM). Perform panel layout verification and point-to-point validation of component locations. This responsibility is limited to layout and component-placement verification unless electrical testing is specifically assigned. Conduct visual QA/QC inspections to verify workmanship, component placement, labeling, and compliance with company quality standards. Identify and report assembly discrepancies, missing components, incorrect materials, or drawing/BOM issues to the appropriate supervisor. Support final packaging, labeling, documentation, and shipment preparation of completed assemblies. Assist with inventory handling, material staging, and organization of production materials as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following company safety procedures and manufacturing practices. As required, support the processing and fulfillment of Sales Orders for other internal departments, including Cable Accessories. Collaborate with internal departments in the assembly of cable accessory products, preparation of subassemblies, and execution of production activities necessary to meet Sales Order requirements and shipment schedules. Perform other production and operational support activities as assigned based on business and manufacturing needs. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience assembling industrial control panels, electrical enclosures, or similar manufactured products. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, Bills of Material (BOM), and panel layout drawings. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and standard assembly equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship and quality standards. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience working in a UL 508A panel shop environment is a plus. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a production team. Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift, move, and handle components and assembly materials. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform assembly work for extended periods. Ability to safely operate standard hand tools, power tools, assembly equipment, and measuring instruments. Ability to perform repetitive assembly activities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
