- As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the assembly of electrical and mechanical components. You will be responsible for performing wire assembly and installing components using hand and power tools. Your role involves conducting testing and quality checks, identifying defects, and packaging products for shipment.
- Responsibilities
- + Assemble electrical and mechanical components according to work instructions and specifications.
+ Perform wire assembly tasks such as cutting, stripping, crimping, and connecting cables.
+ Assemble electrical junction boxes, connectors, outlets, and related components.
+ Install and secure components using hand and power tools.
+ Conduct testing and quality checks throughout the assembly process.
+ Identify and correct defects or assembly issues before final packaging.
+ Package completed products for shipment according to company standards.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and production records.
+ Keep work areas organized while following all safety and quality procedures.
- Essential Skills
- + Previous assembly or wire assembly experience. + Proven ability to follow instructions or blueprints. + Experience with hand and power tools.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience with tape measure. + Experience with wire testing equipment is a plus.

- Work Environment
- You will be working in a small warehouse environment divided by departments, including shipping/receiving, quelling, and electrical assembly. There are currently 8 people in production, and you must be open to working in all departments when needed. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturdays.
- Job Type & Location
- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, IA.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $17.
00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
