HVAC Assembler Job Description Join a skilled assembly team in Addison, IL, where you will modify and customize commercial HVAC units to meet detailed customer specifications. You will perform both mechanical and electrical assembly, integrating components such as valves, piping, controls, and drives, while ensuring each unit meets strict quality, safety, and performance standards. Responsibilities + Modify commercial HVAC units according to detailed customer specifications and engineering drawings. + Install and assemble components including raw valves, copper piping, electrical controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), fans and blowers, and wiring panels. + Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work on incoming units, primarily from major HVAC manufacturers. + Interpret blueprints, schematics, and written work instructions accurately to guide assembly and modifications. + Ensure all modifications meet established quality, safety, and performance standards before final delivery. + Test assembled units for proper functionality and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues as needed. + Use tape measures, hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. + Operate machines and work on assembly lines and general production tasks as required. + Perform basic mechanical assembly and general labor duties to support production flow. + Identify and resolve basic mechanical and electrical problems using troubleshooting skills. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop and safety guidelines. + Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineering staff to ensure timely completion of projects and smooth workflow. + Follow all safety procedures when working around galvanized steel and other industrial materials. Essential Skills + Proven ability to work with tape measures and accurately measure components for assembly. + Experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly, production, or industrial environment. + Ability to perform mechanical assembly work, including working on assembly lines and general production tasks. + Basic understanding of electrical wiring and mechanical systems relevant to HVAC equipment. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. + General machine operating experience in a production or job shop environment. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to hig To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
