Electromechanical Systems Technician I 2026-09

Job Description

Overview Humboldt Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on Electromechanical Systems Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and integration of advanced mechanical and electronic systems used in our high-technology product lines. This role combines mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, basic software configuration, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and system-level troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable working with technology, and capable of solving problems independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position works closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Production teams to ensure products are assembled accurately, tested thoroughly, and delivered to the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assemble electromechanical products and subassemblies using drawings, schematics, SOPs, and work instructions Perform mechanical assembly including fittings, brackets, fasteners, tubing, and hardware installation Wire electrical components including sensors, switches, motors, relays, power supplies, and control systems Assist with basic software loading, setup, configuration, and functional testing Troubleshoot assembly, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and system integration issues Perform system testing, calibration, and final verification checks Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Work with Engineering and Quality teams to identify and resolve production issues Document assembly and test results accurately Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and process consistency Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly, industrial equipment assembly, automation, manufacturing, or related technical field Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Basic understanding of: Electrical wiring and controls Pneumatic systems Hydraulic systems Sensors and instrumentation Basic software or HMI setup Ability to use standard hand tools, measuring tools, and electrical test equipment Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Experience (nice to have): Experience with PLCs, HMIs, or industrial automation Experience in ISO-regulated manufacturing environments Soldering or cable assembly experience Technical schooling, associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Ability to stand, bend, and work on equipment throughout the day Ability to use hand and power tools safely Why Humboldt Manufacturing? Pay:
$28.00 - $38.00 per hour
