Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an Electronic Worker I to support electronic manufacturing, assembly, repair, and sustainment operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with printed circuit boards (PCBs), cable assemblies, soldering, and electronic component installation in a manufacturing or production environment.

This role involves assembling, modifying, repairing, and testing electronic assemblies while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. Key ResponsibilitiesCircuit Card Assembly Assemble and populate printed circuit boards (PCBs) using through-hole and surface mount components. Perform PCB modifications, upgrades, and component replacements. Conduct soldering, desoldering, and touch-up work. Cable & Harness Assembly Prepare wires and cables for assembly. Perform cable routing, crimping, soldering, and point-to-point wiring. Assemble and test cable harnesses. Chassis & Rack Assembly Assemble electronic chassis, cabinets, racks, and consoles. Install and integrate electronic components into assemblies. Support mechanical and electrical integration activities. Mechanical Assembly Perform potting, encapsulation, bonding, curing, cleaning, sanding, stamping, etching, and color-coding processes. Assist with intermediate assembly operations as required. Production & Quality Follow detailed work instructions, schematics, wiring diagrams, and production documents. Conduct self-inspections and prepare products for formal quality inspection. Maintain accurate production records and SPC data. Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times. Required QualificationsEducation High School Diploma or GED. Experience Minimum 2 years of electronic assembly, repair, rework, or manufacturing experience preferred. Experience working with PCBs, electronic components, and cable assemblies. Technical Skills Ability to read and interpret: Wiring diagrams Schematics Assembly instructions Process routings Knowledge of electronic component identification and handling.
Proficiency in:
Through-hole soldering Surface Mount Technology (SMT) soldering Cable assembly and wiring Basic computer skills. Preferred Qualifications IPC certifications or familiarity with:
IPC-A-610 IPC/WHMA-A-620 IPC-7711/7721 J-STD-001
Electronics manufacturing or defense industry experience. Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods. Good eyesight and color vision. Ability to work with microscopes, magnifiers, and precision tools. Comfortable working with solvents, fluxes, cleaning compounds, and manufacturing materials. Security Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain required solder certifications. Pay:
$29.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
