Stable, well respected Northwest side, Indianapolis manufacturer is seeking well qualified individuals to strengthen our Electronic Assembly team. The position is day shift. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble electronic controls, circuits boards, components, switches and wire harnesses Perform durability and life-cycle testing of newly designed electronic components prior to release for manufacturing Record and maintain accurate test data records Create and maintain engineering and manufacturing mechanical and electrical test equipment Document test equipment processes and procedures Perform routine inspection of manufactured goods to insure quality Generate reports form testing and inspections performed Contribute to the development of strategic objectives relating to identifying, developing and implementing best engineering and manufacturing processes Follow all business policies and procedures Observe all safety and environmental rules and regulations at all times Perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Electrical and mechanical skills Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assembly Attention to detail Ability to follow detailed instructions Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Microsoft Word and Excel experience Drafting skills, a plus Ability to work as part of a team including with other departments Ability to read/write/speak English Legal authorization to work in the United States
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 2-3
years prior experience electronic assembly, controls, circuit boards, components, switches, wire harnesses, required Soldering experience required Experience in detail oriented environment Drafting Skills, a plus Working and communicating in a team environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Clean work environment Tools provided Safety training and other required PPE provided Sitting most of the time Standing limited, may stand to perform work if desired Lifting up to 40 lbs. Bending/stooping 10% Must submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
