Summary of Position Functions The Assembly & Test Technician will support the production and testing of devices manufactured by Copper Mountain Technologies. Our VNAs are next generation analyzers designed to meet the needs of 21st Century engineers. Our USB VNAs include an RF measurement module and a processing module - a software application which runs on a Windows or Linux devices with x86 or ARM processors. CMT VNAs are used by NASA, multiple National Labs, NIST (National Institute of Standards), and thousands of companies developing autonomous vehicles, quantum computing, satellite communications, aerospace, defense, medical and other solutions that rely on RF (radio frequency) technology. CMT was awarded multiple innovation and product leadership awards by Frost & Sullivan. The Assembly & Test Technician will work closely with Production, Metrology, Repair, and Operations teams to assemble, test, and help ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. Essential Position Functions Performs electrical, electronic and mechanical assembly operations. Calibrates and tests devices according to established procedures and specified workflows. Completes required production, test, calibration, and quality documentation in accordance with established procedures and applicable ISO requirements. Identifies and reports issues and assists with troubleshooting as needed. Helps maintain the laboratory and test equipment to ensure a clean, organized, and functional work environment. Serves as a backup technician for the service department. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to follow established procedures and contribute to modifying or developing new procedures as needed. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small components, connectors, cables, and electronic assemblies. Experience with, or a willingness to learn, test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, and DC power supplies. Experience with SMT hand soldering is a strong plus. Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, technical drawings, schematics, and basic electronic documentation is desired. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work. Ability to communicate technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot and solve technical problems. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to electronic assemblies and test results. Ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver's license.
