Contract:
Temporary, up to 6 months, with potential for regular full-time employment We are hiring an Electronic Worker to support electronic assembly, rework, repair, and manufacturing operations at a Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 2nd shift may begin anytime between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM . Responsibilities Assemble, disassemble, rework, and repair electronic assemblies. Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) using through-hole and surface mount components. Perform PCB modifications, upgrades, component replacement, and touch-up. Prepare wires and cables and perform point-to-point wiring, crimping, and soldering. Assemble cable and wire harnesses. Assemble cabinets, chassis, consoles, racks, and electronic components. Perform mechanical assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulation, sanding, cleaning, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, and color-coding. Read and follow process routings, wiring diagrams, schematics, production documents, and detailed work instructions. Operate soldering, desoldering, pressing, shaping, winding, and component-placement equipment. Perform in-process self-checks and prepare assemblies for inspection and testing. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Use magnification equipment or microscopes when required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience with electronic assembly, rework, and repair is preferred. Proficiency with soldering and cable assembly techniques. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and process routings. Knowledge of electronic components and proper component handling. Familiarity with IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711, and/or
J-STD-001
is preferred. Basic computer skills and ability to perform data collection for SPC. Ability to obtain and maintain required solder certifications. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Good eyesight and color vision. Ability to work in positions requiring extended sitting, standing, kneeling, or squatting. Ability to work around solvents, flux, thinners, and other cleaning compounds when required. U.S. citizenship is required because the position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Personnel Clearance.

$30.15/hr

ECL Pay:
