Assembly Technician Job Description This role focuses on assembling and reworking sub-assemblies for portable analytical instruments in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. You will use small hand tools and follow schematics to build, debug, and reassemble components while maintaining a clean and organized workspace in anISO 9000
environment. Responsibilities Assemble sub-assemblies for portable analytical instruments using small hand tools. Follow schematics and work instructions to perform precise assembly tasks. Conduct rework and reassembly of components to meet quality and performance standards. Debug instruments and identify issues in assembled units to support efficient troubleshooting and repair. Perform soldering tasks as needed to complete or correct assemblies. Inspect completed sub-assemblies to ensure they meet technical specifications and quality requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance withISO 9000
standards. Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment to meet production schedules. Essential Skills Proven experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly. Proficiency using small hand tools for detailed assembly work. Hands-on experience assembling sub-assemblies for technical or electronic products. Ability to read and follow schematics and assembly instructions. Experience performing rework and reassembly on existing assemblies. Capability to debug instruments or assemblies to identify and resolve issues. Basic soldering skills to support assembly and rework tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all assembly activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with portable or analytical instruments. Background in high-tech or electronics manufacturing environments. Familiarity withISO 9000
standards and quality-focused workflows. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production setting. Strong problem-solving skills when addressing assembly or debugging challenges. Why Work Here? The setting emphasizes adherence to documented procedures, quality standards, and safe working practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Andover, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
