Cambridge, MA - Fully onsite Job Summary The Senior Technician is responsible for performing advanced electro-mechanical assembly processes in accordance with detailed work instructions and engineering documentation. This role supports engineers in the development, fabrication, and testing of product assemblies, components, and prototypes. The position requires strict adherence to process standards and documentation requirements, while working collaboratively with engineers and skilled operators in a team environment. Key Responsibilities Perform skilled electro-mechanical assembly in accordance with established procedures Interpret and work from electro-mechanical drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation Apply knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), including symbols and technical details embedded in complex drawings Recommend and utilize custom tooling, hand tools, fixtures, and assembly aids for prototype builds Perform hand soldering with strong technique and precision Execute complex conventional and/or microelectronics assembly tasks Operate and maintain microelectronics assembly equipment with appropriate training and limited supervision Conduct repetitive production assembly work to deliver high-quality hardware Accurately document work using handwritten records and standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) Participate in training initiatives to support skill progression and advancement Complete additional assignments as directed by the supervisor Required Skills and Abilities Knowledge of cleanroom practices and protocols Experience working in prototype laboratory or research and development (IR D) environments Familiarity with small-scale production or low-rate initial production (LRIP) environments Understanding of small-scale manufacturing processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Familiarity with collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Confluence Education High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree or technical training in a related field preferred Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, advanced packaging, or a related production environment Additional Information Experience with industry standards such as J-STD-001, IPC-WHMA-A-620, and
