Clean, climate-controlled, state-of-the-art medical device manufacturing facility About the Opportunity Ardent Staffing Solutions has partnered with an innovative medical device manufacturer in Woburn, MA, to hire a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembler. In this hands-on role, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing operations team, executing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards to build advanced, life-improving medical systems and precision handheld devices. If you possess strong mechanical aptitude, dexterity with complex electro-mechanical assemblies, and take pride in precision craftsmanship, this is an excellent opportunity with long-term career growth potential. Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and functionally test precision electro-mechanical medical devices, including main system consoles and intricate handheld components.
  • Follow detailed assembly drawings, schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure products meet stringent quality and performance specifications.
  • Handle sensitive components, including printed circuit boards (PCBs), wiring harnesses, and micro-electronic assemblies, following ESD-safe procedures.
  • Utilize hand tools, calibrated torque wrenches, thread lockers, bonding agents, and soldering equipment safely and accurately.
  • Maintain clean and accurate production documentation, including Device History Records (DHR), lot and serial tracking, and work order logging.
  • Partner with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to troubleshoot process deviations, investigate non-conformances, and support root-cause corrective actions.
  • Assist in updating work instructions and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and product yields.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant GMP-regulated workstation. Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; a two-year technical degree or equivalent vocational training is a strong plus.
    Experience:
    Proven hands-on experience in complex electro-mechanical assembly, preferably within medical devices, aerospace, or high-reliability electronics.
      Technical Skills:
      • Skilled in electro-mechanical assembly techniques, wiring, and safe handling of PCBs.
      • Ability to perform basic soldering and utilize electronic test equipment.
      • Proficient in reading and interpreting assembly prints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
      • Familiarity with torque tools, fasteners, adhesives, and measurement gages.
      Compliance & Documentation:
      Familiarity with GMP environments and reviewing Device History Records (DHR) is strongly preferred.
        Attributes:
        Strong problem-solving mindset, exceptional attention to detail, good color vision (for wire identification), and basic computer proficiency.
          Physical Capabilities:
          Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 15 lbs, and perform fine-motor manual assembly.
            Flexibility:
