The ideal candidate will have strong automotive electrical experience, hands-on skills with wiring harnesses, crimping and soldering, electrical troubleshooting, and the ability to read and understand electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Key Responsibilities Assemble, install, test, repair, and rework vehicle wiring harnesses using hand tools and proper assembly techniques. Follow work instructions, blueprints, prints, cut sheets, sample harnesses, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOM). Install lights, brackets, electrical hardware, test boxes, automotive components, and vehicle systems according to specifications. Test wiring and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic equipment. Perform wiring repairs and rework on both vehicles and workbenches. Crimp and solder wires and terminals. De-pin terminals and perform basic wiring modifications. Create basic schematics and reverse-engineer wiring harnesses. Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and identify wiring issues. Operate and maintain shop equipment and perform basic preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary. Follow all safety and quality procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work effectively with team members and customers on assigned projects. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 4 years of electrical work experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of automotive systems. Hands-on experience with wiring, crimping, and soldering. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to operate vehicle lifts. Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and understand electrical/electronic schematics and component documentation. Good written and verbal communication skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications Certificate or training in Automotive Electrical Technology or a related field. Valid driver's license. Experience installing components on circuit boards. Experience with automotive powertrain systems. Experience with electric vehicle or battery systems.
