Job Title:
Mechanical Assembler M - F, flexible start time between 6 and 8am. $21 - $23 depending on expereince Job Description The Assembler performs a variety of mechanical assembly, testing, machine building, and calibration tasks at a workstation or bench using hand and power tools. This role involves building sub-assemblies and complete instruments, verifying quality, and using SAP to manage parts and document work. Responsibilities Perform assembly operations at a workstation or bench using various hand tools and power tools. Assemble mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components into sub-assemblies and complete instruments. Build sub-assemblies that require multiple people or assemble new instruments from start to finish. Test and perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on products using fixtures, multimeters, and flowmeters. Pick and identify parts from the stockroom and complete related transactions within SAP. Perform calibrations and variable testing, using judgment to ensure products meet specifications. Assist with troubleshooting and repairs, escalating issues as needed. Perform standard and non-standard setups, exercising judgment when adjusting and documenting changes. Verify part and product quality throughout the assembly and test process. Use a keyboard and computer terminal to enter data into SAP and related systems as required. Follow all safety guidelines and promptly report unsafe conditions to a supervisor or appropriate contact. Essential Skills Minimum of one year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably with mechanical assembly experience. Proficiency in using hand tools and electric tools for assembly tasks. Experience with mechanical assembly, electronic assembly, or electro-mechanical assembly. Ability to interpret blueprints or assembly drawings. Ability to use basic test equipment such as multimeters and flowmeters. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
