delivers high-performance cables and custom cable assemblies engineered for motion control, industrial automation, and other harsh-environment applications. Position Overview We are seeking a Cable Assembly Engineer to lead the design, specification, and manufacturing handoff of custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses. In this role, you will bridge customer application needs with production reality - evaluating technical inputs, selecting cables and connectors, generating CAD drawings, and supporting prototyping to ensure every solution is electrically sound, mechanically robust, and cost-effective.Key Responsibilities Design & Specification:
Evaluate customer technical inputs to select optimal raw cables, connectors, shielding, overmolds, and accessories for static and continuous-flex industrial applications.Documentation & Costing:
Generate 2D/3D CAD production drawings, wiring schematics, detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), and accurate cost rollups to support rapid quotation and shop-floor manufacturing.Prototyping & Testing:
Define testing protocols, determine pass/fail criteria, and work directly with assembly technicians to build, test, and validate first-article prototypes.Produce clear standard work instructions, develop assembly aids/tooling requirements, and troubleshoot production issues to maintain quality and throughput.
